Plan how the filler communicates with conveyors, closures, coding, inspection and reject equipment before the line layout is finalised.

It needs a controlled sequence for product feed, package infeed, filling, pressure release, transfer to closing, labelling or coding, inspection and reject handling. The PLC and control philosophy should define what happens when a pack is missing, a closure is missing, a fault occurs or downstream equipment stops.

A compact filler may not need complex line control, but a linked line with capping, seaming, coding and inspection should have clear interlocks. This helps avoid product loss, overrun, missed caps, unmarked packs and restart problems after stoppages.
