A CSD filling machine is specified around the prepared carbonated drink, the bottle or can, the closure route and the temperature/pressure conditions needed to control foam and protect CO₂.
A CSD filling machine fills carbonated soft drinks such as cola, lemonade, tonic water, soda, sparkling water, mixers and carbonated energy drinks under controlled pressure. For a carbonated product, the important point is not simply liquid volume; the machine must maintain enough pressure control to reduce foam, avoid unnecessary CO₂ loss and present the pack cleanly for capping or seaming.
The route may be a compact counter-pressure can filler, an automatic isobaric bottle filler or a complete line with rinsing, filling, capping or seaming, conveyors, labelling, coding and inspection. Lancing reviews the product, pack and production target before recommending a route.

Is CSD filling the same as sparkling water filling?
The pressure-controlled filling principle can be similar, but the correct machine still depends on the recipe, carbonation level, container, closure and temperature. A sparkling water project may be simpler than a syrup-based CSD line if there is no product mixing or Brix control to manage.
Can a CSD line fill both bottles and cans?
Some projects can be planned around more than one pack format, but bottles and cans use different handling and closing routes. It is usually better to specify the main pack first, then review whether a second route can be supported economically.
Does the filler carbonate the drink?
Not necessarily. Some fillers receive product already carbonated from a tank or carbonator. Other compact projects may include a mixing or carbonation module. The quotation should state where carbonation happens and how product is transferred to the filler.
